Some TVs have some problems with YouTube, especially those without Google Service. Fortunately, there is open-source software dedicated to solving this problem and blocking all YouTube ads.

Previously, I found YouTube for TV APK that works on Android TV without Google Service, but that does not allow me to log in to my YouTube account. After a few searches, I found this Smart YouTube TV that works even better than I expected.

For iOS device, there is a Firefox Focus web browser that better protects your privacy and blocks any ads including YouTube ads. If you prefer using Safari web browser, you can go to Settings > Safari > Content Blockers and select Firefox from there. Then you can use Safari to watch YouTube videos without ads.
